Project Overview & Process
When Seattle Opera's Opera Center opened, I was tasked with designing and developing the layout for the new building's about page. This required me to present information in a engaging way while also being constrained by limitations of the page template's main content section.
As I worked on the layout, we noticed that the history timeline was going to be very long. We chose to add jump links at the top of the page content to get users to specific information faster.
For the Fast Facts section, I had to transfer over the information from a two-page fact sheet. I didn't want to add another text-heavy section to the page, so instead I chose to make a grid highlighting 9 of the most interesting/impactful facts. Then, I linked to the full fact sheet PDF below. On mobile, we swapped the grid with a photo gallery to save more space on the narrower screen.
